The Dahl Files is operated by Activ8, LLC (“we” or “us”). We collect as little as we can. This page explains what we collect, why, and who else handles it. Questions: anne@thedahlfiles.com.
If you sign up for the free case
We collect your email address, and where you found us (for example, “card” if you scanned a Detective’s Card). We use it to send you the free case and a few emails about the Dahl Files. Our email service, Kit, stores it for us. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and one click takes you off the list.
If you buy something
Checkout happens on Payhip, which processes payments through Stripe or PayPal. We receive your name, email address and what you bought, so we can deliver your files and help if something goes wrong. We never see your full card number.
When you browse this site
- We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t follow you to other sites, and only shows us totals.
- We don’t use advertising cookies or social media tracking pixels.
- The answer checker runs entirely in your browser. Your answers aren’t sent anywhere.
If you use the Host Console
At /host, your unlock code and party setup are saved only in your browser, and nothing is sent to us. The console loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to fetch them.
What we never do
- We don’t sell or rent your information.
- We don’t share your email with anyone except the services above, which handle it for us.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from any email with one click. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, emailanne@thedahlfiles.com and we’ll do it.
Children
The Dahl Files are made for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
